I've literally known Britney since before Kindergarten, and other than family, she's probably the only person I'm still in touch with that I've known that long.

We originally met because her mom was my new babysitter.  I remember how I envisioned this little girl that was supposed to be my age: short, blonde hair, kind of chubby, and purple eyes.  She remembers coming downstairs and me being sitting there playing with the Little People.  To this day, she can point out the exact spot.

We were best friends most of our childhood years, and as we hit the pre-teen ages, we began to argue and found ourselves drifting apart from what we now assume to have been too much time together.

Eighth grade wasn't too bad, seeing as how we suddenly began to hang around with the same crowd of younger fourth and fifth graders, but we often had differing views of how to react to these younger children and often found ourselves still butting heads.

  We went our separate ways throughout most of ninth grade, but at the beginning of tenth grade, the two of us started getting a lot closer.

Nowadays, Brit and I make sure we do something at least once a week, if not more often.  She's proven her friendship to me in multiple times and ways, and I'm glad to say I've been able to hold on to Brit as a friend and I'm more than glad I did.
